Selas EG Burners Shine In Industrial Heat Treating.

Selas EG burners are a type of nozzle mix burner utilized in industrial furnaces and heat treatment plants for ferrous/nonferrous, heavy metal and glass applications.

The EG70 is a pulse firing gas burner that handles normal flame velocities. For high flame velocities, there is the EG70-U gas burner.

High outflow speed (80 m/s) of the waste gases results in:
  1. Improved heat transmission on the material to be treated.
  2. Quicker heating speed.
  3. Good temperature compensation in the furnace at both high and low temperatures.
Selas EG burners are suitable for all combustion gases, especially natural gas, town gas/coke-oven gas, and liquid gas.

Each burner can be changed at the erection site for all gases.

The indicated tube connections are for cold gas and cold air.

Gas connection:
Pipe thread up to and including NW50, from NW65 with flange according ND16.

Air connection:
Flange according to ND16

Normal pressures:
- Gas min. 30 mbar
- Air min. 30 mbar

The construction of the EG burner is simple and sturdy. Because the burner is built in three elements, it is possible to adjust each tube section.

Every burner can be delivered with a centrically installed ignition burner or spark plug, or alternately with UV resp. ionisations supervision.

When inquiring or ordering, please indicate the following values:
  • Type of gas
  • Quantity of gas or capacity
  • Specific weight of the gas
  • Heating value
  • Gas pressure
  • Air pressure
  • Air temperature
  • Furnace room temperature
The EG burner is suitable up to 1200°C furnace room temperature. At higher temperatures, EG burners can be used in special execution with enlarged burner bricks, without thermax muffle.
