Developed for the Ages with Time Proven Durability

burner-feathered Selas is known worldwide for developing pressed and fired refractory ceramics for use in a wide variety of industrial burners, kilns and furnaces.

Pressed and fired ceramics have the advantage over cast refractory in that they are fully cured and can be placed into service immediately.

Most cast refractory ceramics on the other hand need to be slowly brought up to furnace temperatures over a one to two day period.

Ceramic burners can also withstand temperatures over 3000°F. (Silicon carbide up to 2,300°F and metal alloys up to 1,700°F).
